WILLOWS, BROOK OF THE. A brook on the boundary of Moab (Isa.15.7 kjv, rsv), generally identified with the Zered (Wâdi el-Hesā), which flows into the southern end of the Dead Sea and forms the boundary between Edom and Moab. NIV reads “Ravine of the Poplars.”
WILLOWS, BROOK OF THE (נַ֥חַל הָעֲרָבִ֖ים). A wady in Moab, prob. the Seil el-Qurahi (Isa 15:7). Some think that it is the same as the valley of Zered (q.v.) It was at the boundary between Moab and Edom.
