Book of Zostrianos

ZOSTRIANOS, BOOK OF (incorrectly identified as Apocalypse of Zostrianos). A document found in codex viii of the Nag Hammadi (Chenoboskion) texts. Of the 132 pages, only the beginning and the ending, approximately forty-six pages, are well preserved. The colophon is a cryptogram, “Words of Zoroastros.” However, the preceding lines speak of “Words of Truth of Zostrianos: God of Truth.” It is evidently a typical Sethian treatise with Zostrianos=Seth.
