Book of Remembrance

BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE (סֵ֣פֶר זִכָּרֹ֤ון). In the Book of Malachi (3:16) where the only reference to this particular book is found, the prophet considers this divinely authored book in which are placed the names of those who reverence God so they will be remembered in a future “day of the Lord.” There is perhaps some relationship to the “book of life” (Ps 69:28), which refers to natural life as well as the life to come in some later passages.

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (1915)

Is related in meaning to the "Book of Life." It refers to a list of the righteous, recorded in a book that lies before God (Mal 3:16; compare Da 7:10).
