Bokeru

BOKERU (bō'kê-rū). A distant descendant of Saul, at the time of the return from captivity (1Chr.8.38). One of the six sons of Azel.



BOCHERU bō’ kə rōō (בֹּ֨כְרוּ, meaning uncertain, perhaps early, youthful, LXX tr. as common noun πρωτότοκος αὐτου̂, his firstborn). One of the six sons of Azel, a Benjamite. A descendant of Saul through Jonathan and Merib-baal (1 Chron 8:38; 9:44).

A son of Azrikam, Saul’s descendant (1Ch 8:38 = 1Ch 9:34). For the ending ("-u"), compare the forms gashmu (Ne 6:1,6) and melikhu (Ne 12:14 the King James Version and the Revised Version, margin).
