Beth-lomon

BETH-LOMON bĕth lō’ mən (Βαιθλωμων, B ̔Παγεθλωμων) is a spelling found only in LXX for what appears in the MT as בֵֽית־לָ֔חֶם or Bethlehem. People from this city are listed among the men of Judea who returned from captivity in Babylon with Zerubbabel (1 Esd 5:17). The MT reading is followed by all English VSS, i.e. Bethlehem instead of Bethlomon (cf. Ezra 2:21).

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (1915)

The inhabitants of this city are mentioned as returning with Zerubbabel from Babylon (1 Esdras 5:17). It is the city of Bethlehem in Judah, the modern Beit Lachm (Ezr 2:21).
