Beth Haggan

BETH HAGGAN (bĕth' hăg'ĕn, house of the garden). Mentioned in 2Kgs.9.27 (niv; kjv and nasb have “garden house”) as the place to which Ahaziah fled when chased by Jehu. It is possibly En-gannim (modern Jenin).

BETH-HAGGAN bĕth hāg’ ən (בֵּ֣ית הַגָּ֑ן, LXX Βαιθαγγαν, house of the garden), KJV GARDEN HOUSE. A town S of the Valley of Jezreel toward which Ahaziah fled when pursued by Jehu (2 Kings 9:27). These details point to the identification of Beth-haggan with En-gannim, modern Jenin.

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (1915)

(beth-ha-gan, "house of the garden"). The place where Ahaziah was slain by Jehu (2Ki 9:27). The words are rendered in English Versions of the Bible "the garden house," but some take them to be a proper name. The location is doubtful.
