Ball
BALL (דּ֕וּר). The word occurs in the Bible only in Isaiah 22:18, where the prophet Isaiah, addressing Shebna, the steward of King Hezekiah, predicts his downfall and his exile in Assyria: “He [the Lord] will seize firm hold on you, and whirl you round and round, and throw you like a ball into a wide land.” The words “and throw you” are not found in the Heb., but are required by the sense of the passage. In Isaiah 29:3 the word דּ֖וּר is tr. “round about.”
International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (1915)
A rare Hebrew word used in this sense only in Isa 22:18, and correctly rendered in the American Standard Revised Version "He will surely wind thee round and round, and toss thee like a ball into a large country." De Or, Bottcher, Jastrow, following Talmud, regard the noun as kaddur, but perhaps incorrectly.
