Azaliah
AZALIAH (ăz'a-lī'a, Heb. ’ătsalyâhû, probably Jehovah has set aside, or Jehovah has shown himself distinguished). A son of Meshullam and father of Shaphan the scribe (2Kgs.22.3).
AZALIAH ăz’ ə lī’ ə (אֲצַלְיָ֤הוּ, Jehovah has set aside). The son of Meshullam; father of Shaphan the scribe, who brought to Josiah’s attention the book of the law that Hilkiah the high priest had found in the Temple (2 Kings 22:3).
