AZAL ā’ zəl (אָצַל, noble). KJV rendering of אָצַל in Zechariah 14:5; ASV has AZEL; RSV has THE SIDE OF IT. If there were such a place, it was not far from Jerusalem. Either reading, however, is difficult.
