ASARA ăs’ ə rä (̓Ασαρά). ASV form of RSV HASRAH and KJV AZARA (1 Esd 5:31); head of a family of Temple servants who returned to Jerusalem with Zerubbabel. The name is omitted in the parallel passages (Ezra 2:49; Neh 7:51).
