Anaharath

ANAHARATH (a-nā'ha-răth, Heb. ’anā- hărāth). A town in the territory of Issachar, in the valley of Jezreel near Shunem, Nain, and Endor. It is the modern en-Naura (Josh.19.19).



ANAHARATH ə nā’ ə răth (אֲנָחֲרַֽת). A city of Issachar (Josh 19:19). Located at en-Na’urah, in the Valley of Jezreel, c. two m. S of En-dor.

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (1915)

A place which fell to the tribe of Issachar in the division of the land (Jos 19:19). Located in the valley of Jezreel toward the East, the name and site being preserved as the modern en-Na`-ura. BDB is wrong in assigning it to the tribe of Naphtali.
