Ain Karem

AIN KAREM ān kă’ rəm (בְּכַרְמֵ֖י עֵ֥ין גֶּֽדִי). A Heb. phrase found in the [[Song of Solomon]] meaning “the vineyards of Engedi.” Engedi was on the W coast of the Dead Sea, c. thirty-five m. from Jerusalem.
