ABISHUR (a-bī’shêr, Heb. ’ăvîshûr, the father is a wall). A man of Judah, the son of Shammai (1Chr.2.28-1Chr.2.29).


ABISHUR ə bī’ shər (אֲבִישֽׁוּר, my father is a wall). A man of Judah, one of the two sons of Shammai in the genealogical list of Jerahmeel. Abishur’s wife was Abihail (1 Chron 2:28, 29).

Great-grandson of Jerahmeel and Atarah, Jerahmeel being great-grandson of Judah. Abishur was son of Shammai, and was the husband of Abihail, and the father of sons (1Ch 2:28,29).
