Read pages 35-36 in English Grammar to Ace Biblical Hebrew.

Read this chapter from beginning to end but don't study it carefully until you have listened to the lecture. In the first read through, try to understand the basic contours of this grammar concept (Construct Chain). Read through 10.5 as well but only to get a sense of how construct nouns are created from their absolute or lexical forms.

Study every section of the chapter carefully and learn the rules for construct formation in 10.5. On quizzes and exams, you will be required to give the construct form of absolute nouns in light of the rules given in 10.5. It will take some time to get these rules in hand.
