Because we receive mercy and forgiveness from God, we are called to extend mercy and forgivness to others. The process of spiritual formation involves trials. As we depend on God for the power to overcome them, the hold of Satan over the earth is broken!
As We Forgive Our Debtors. Lead Us Not Into a Time of Trial
I. Help us to forgive others
A. Baseball analogy
B. The slave refused to acknowledge the gift of God forgiving him
C. Jesus' response about the slave that didn't forgive
D. We are called to receive mercy and forgiveness from God and extend mercy and forgiveness to others
E. If you forgive others, God will forgive you (Matthew 6:14-15)
