Why do we learn?

I have been involved in higher education for most of my life. I come from a long line of teachers. My father was a professor. I taught at the university and graduate level, and now I help run BiblicalTraining.org, the greatest repository of biblical teaching the world has ever seen. So I am committed to learning. After all, Jesus tells us to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:29-30). Or as I like to say it, we should have an “informed love” of God.

Please join us in our new blog

How would you like to wake up every day and learn something new about Christianity? Perhaps theology, Bible study, Church History, or World Missions. This has been the purpose of our blog, the Curious Christian. But now Bill Mounce is moving his blog on spiritual growth from his personal site to BiblicalTraining, and so we are combining these two blogs under the new name, The Path, Bill's favorite metaphor for the Christian life (Matthew 7:13–14). We will also be posting some blogs from some of our professors.
