Dr. Bill Mounce

Bill Mounce is a writer living in Washougal, Washington. He is the Vice President of Educational Development at BibleGateway, and the President of BiblicalTraining.org.

Formerly he was a preaching pastor, and before that a professor of New Testament and Director of the Greek Program at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a professor of New Testament at Azusa Pacific University. He specializes in the Greek language in both his writing and teaching, and is currently involved in writing projects that bring scholarship to the layperson, especially advanced Bible studies using "church Greek." He was the New Testament chair of the English Standard Version translation of the Bible, and is currently serving on the NIV translation committee (the CBT) for the 2011 revision. He and his wife, Robin, have been married since 1983 years and have three children.
