Would you pursue Certification if it were available with these features?
Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the polls. If you have missed any, please click on "Older polls" below and register your vote. One last question. One of our basic beliefs is that rather than just having access to the lectures, that many of you would prefer us to help you walk through the material. Tied to that is the belief that you would prefer to study in some sort of learning community if that were possible.
So we have been working on a process of certification that, while not an accredited program like a university class, it does:
- walk with you through the classes (outlines, study guides, etc),
- offer more help with your questions (forums),
- help you see if you know the material (quizzes),
- help you to create a learning community (like an elder or deacon board, or with your pastoral staff),
- have a certificate of completion available at the end.
The idea is that, if possible, you get a group of people to walk together through different topics such as,
- Spiritual Foundations,
- Biblical Literacy,
- Biblical Foundations,
- Leadership development,
- Running a Small Group or the Small Group program,
- Preparing your worship teams, short-term mission teams, etc.,
- Any of the seminary-level classes
The problem is that it is expensive for us to do this. And hence our last question. Part of the funding would subsidize the costs of providing Certificates to the poorest of the poor in the Majority World.
