A large update to care about a morning thank you very much for being here this is a fight over this morning's a court order prayer and then we can get right into this and will talk about her to review last week about our grand metaphor a word picture of it arrives with the process of Bible study your Bible reading is lie in the word picture we used was the Bible study of Bible reading is likely to trip at your murderous steps and that's really said you've got to leave home just as in any type of communication were you talking someone else you guys doubting yourself and really can't tune into the other person if you communicate well with them you got to leave home the vehicle that will get us back to where we want to go in terms of understanding what the writer meant by what was written is crossed as he is down process of study will help us make that trip that brings us to understand what Paul was writing to the Corinthians and so we wanted to a work of making that trip in knowing and understanding what was originally intended the destination we want to get to is the original meaning of the tax I said last week that if the text can mean anything to me so it's not as cut up for that now in the same way we talk about studying the Bible it is something that takes energy something that we have to be motivated to get off the dime and the Lawrence if we're going to do it in a consistent way to thought so let's begin with this consistent Bible reading and study are foundational for life is really what this session is to be about Christ followers are to be people of the word to be people who are living in the Bible who are reading the Scriptures on a consistent basis who are getting into studying it that type of thing this is not optional for those of us who are price fall into something that is very important but I think all of the even know we agree with that statement would also say that most of us struggle with reading and studying the Bible consistently the things that we wanted to and I should say really that we feel the time we have with my time time is there for all of us everybody has the same number of minutes a day it's a matter of how we are going to feel that time if you can imagine that I have a big basket of fear and the things in the basket represent the different things that I do during the day so maybe there's a newspaper because I like to read the newspaper in the morning but maybe there is an animal because an ego feed the dog at this animal was that the vast magnificent offices in the baskets and I have a gardening trial because I love gardening and I like it out there with that, books I'm reading something you have all the different things filling the basket all of us have a basket probably for this very fool for going get to a point where we are going to make the time to do something very important that we really really wanted to like Bible study Bible reading for half of you probably use rearrange the best of it maybe take a couple of days out of the basket that really ought not to be that big priority for us and put those things lack the Bible in the basket because we all have the time shift the question of how or when the user time so most of us struggle son for honest with us secondly might be a lack of skill sets for said just a minute if it may be that if no one has to thought this through a process of Bible reading or process of file you study the Bible you can be very frustrating for us and it's not very fulfilling to get in their struggle with even knowing how to start morning thinking about the point it's taking all my attention and it's taking me away from the word less fearful issue that's your Bush can't simply write it off so we are busy at work or whatever we think of you with an underlying spiritual issue there might not trusting God with this for some gadget stuff I love gadgets and things like that I can focus on that in a good sense with them getting this thing out of the spiritual issue is a draining my attention away from a healthy walk with God the fourth feature Jesus gives this parable is set before us the time see if it comes up and it
