BiblicalTraining's Orphanage Project in India

I cannot tell you how overjoyed I am that as a community we have been able to finish this project.

The one adjustment we had to make pertains to the growing cost of building the orphanage. Building costs are ever increasing in India, and the longer we took to raise the money the more expensive the orphanage became.

The South Asian Institute had already been able to raise partial funds for over half the cost of an orphanage, and so we decided to give our money to complete this first orphanage. In total, we gave $31,430.25 toward completing the infrastructure and buying the furnishings.

As work progresses, we will share pictures. We will no longer be taking donations for this project and hope to have our portion of the project complete by April 2011.

For me personally, for all on the BiblicalTraining team, and especially for the children, we thank each and every one of those of you who gave.

There is a chance that I (and possibly Matt) will be going over in January, 2012, to teach a month of courses. I am excited to actually see the building and the smiling faces inside.
