Frequently Asked Questions
1. Q. "How do I access the lectures?"
A. Move your cursor over the "Quicklinks tab on the home page, click on "Why register" in the dropdown menu, click on the "register now" link, then fill in the information. The next time you come back to the BiblicalTraining website, login by entering your username or email address and password, and then click on the lecture you want. You only need to register once. After that, just login!
2. Q. "How do I change my email address?"
A. Login, then click on the "My Account" link in the top bar on the home page. Click on the "edit" tab, then change your email address. You may also update any other registration information. Make sure you click on the "save" button at the bottom of the page when you have completed your changes.
3. Q. "What is the difference between the Certificates classes and the Seminary classes?"
A. Seminary level courses are recordings of actual seminary level classes and provide in-depth instruction. They are available at no charge. We do not offer reflection questions, quizzes or certificates based on these classes.
Certificates classes are 10 hours or less, and designed to provide introductory information appropriate for lay instruction. We are currently developing reflection questions and multiple-choice quizzes for each class. The reflection questions are for use in small group interaction under the leadership of a mentor of your choosing. You may earn a certificate through BiblicalTraining by registering for the class and passing a quiz. There will be a nominal charge to enroll in a certificate class to cover the cost of developing and updating the material, and providing the certificates. Our goal is to have the registration process in place by September 1, 2010, but not all the certificates will be available by that date. The certificates are not accredited and cannot be applied for college or seminary credit.
4. Q. "Is there a way to download entire classes without having to dowload each lecture individually?"
A. We have chosen to not provide this option for now. There are several reasons for this decision: 1. Download costs to us would increase dramatically if people downloaded whole classes at once; 2. People are often searching for information about a certain subject and will download specific lectures. It helps us to be able to track which lectures are being downloaded as we plan what we should add to the website; and 3. We have had a few instances of copyright infringement during the past couple years and we are trying to limit those.
We have not precluded offering this option in the future for some or all classes, but have decided that we will not do it right now. Thanks for your understanding in this matter.
