Hello. My name is Jenny. I'm excited about this course because philosophy is something that I've never been able to get a strong grasp of, but the introductory lecture was very easy for me to follow. The introduction on consequentialism and deontologism has been helpful already. The conflict between major schools of ethical thought is one of the primary reasons, I believe, that Christian debates over politics and economics never get resolved. There is a clear problem in determining what should be done when some people focus on end results while others focus on moral obligation. I'm looking forward to learning more.
