You may also download this user guide (see below) with illustrations.
To begin, create a user account with BiblicalTraining.org. (If you already have an account you may proceed to the next step.) Go to the site and click on Create New Account at the top of the page. You will need to choose a username, enter your e-mail address, and choose a password. Enter the word verification at the bottom of the page and click Create New Account. You are now an official BT user. Congratulations!
Log in and click on Certificates in the menu bar.
Once you are enrolled in a certificate, you can click on the My certificates tab to see them. There is also a link at the top of the page that will bring you to the list of your Certificates.
If the Certificate program is not open to public enrollment, its name will not appear in the list. When you were invited to join the Certificate by the mentor, you were sent an email with a link that granted you access to the Certificate. Once you have joined the Certificate, then BiblicalTraining remembers and will show the Certificate under the My certificates tab.
Locate your Certificate and click on its name. The menu on the left side of the page will help you navigate.
To enroll in the Certificate, click Enroll now. You can go through the Courses and Lectures without enrolling in the Certificate, but once you decide to take the Certificate, you need to Enroll in each Course.
What happens next depends on if you are taking the certificate by yourself or if you are part of a group working through the Certificate.
Once enrolled, you come to the Certificate homepage.
Click on the name of the first course to begin.
You are now at the home page for the Course.
Be sure to click Start this course before going to a lecture. We need to know you are actually taking the class and not just looking around. Then click on the name of the lecture to listen to the first lecture.
Notice the many options you have.
When you get to the Lecture level, there is no easy way to get back to your Certificate. You may want to bookmark each Course in the Certificate so you can click your way back quickly. The Back button on your browser may also work.
When on the Course home page, click MY PROGRESS to see how you are doing. This screen shows you the lectures in this Course (not the entire Certificate), the grade received on the quiz at the end of each lecture, and the date when you took the quiz. You can click on the name of the Lecture to listen to it.
When you are done with the Lecture, you need to take the Quiz. Please click on the My Certificates link in the gray bar at the top, then click on the certificate link, then the link for the class you are taking. Click on the "My progress" link and you will see the list of quizzes. [This process takes a few clicks because of a glitch in the programming that we hope to fix soon.]
Find the Quiz under the COMPLETED column and click Take quiz now.
You go to the quiz and are shown the first question. Answer all the questions. You may be able to review your answers at the end of the quiz if that is how the Certificate creator set up the quiz.
If you pass the Quiz, you will be told so. If not, you should listen to the Lecture again and retake the Quiz.
BiblicalTraining offers forum discussions that are private to your Certificate. If you are attending a Certificate as a group, the Discussion posts are private to your group. Just click Create Discussion and talk away. If you want to just check current discussions and perhaps see if someone has answered your post, then watch the Recent posts menu.
You can see who is also taking your Certificate by clicking Member. The number before Member is the number of people attending the Certificate.
Invite friend allows you to enter a friend’s email and invite them to your group attending the Certificate. This option may not be available depending on how the Certificate is configured.
