We are glad that you are attending this certificate program. We all have a theology, but many people do not actually know what they believe, and yet those beliefs are propelling their actions. A dangerous situation.
This Certificate will walk you through a basic evangelical understanding of God and his Word, and then challenge you to write your own statement of beliefs.

| Understanding Theology |
We begin with Bruce Ware walking us through the basic doctrines of the evangelical church. Listen to what he has to say, check the references, and be deciding the following: What do you believe? What should your church believe? What is primary and secondary? These are important decisions, because the final project for this Certificate is to write out your own statement of faith. |
| Project: Your Statement of Faith |
Now that you have listened to the lectures it is time for you decide on the three things enumerated above: What you believe; What your church needs to believe; What is primary and secondary. The best way to for this is to write out and then explain your own statement of faith. In this class you will see how Bill Mounce, the President of BiblicalTraining, does this for himself and his church. After listening to what he has to say, then your project is to do the same for yourself. |
